Sparrow & Crown Photography is operated by Rachel Saarela.

I am a photographer living and working in the North Metro of MN. I specialize in graduation, infant, pregnancy, and family photography. I got my first digital SLR as a wedding gift from my husband John. We really enjoy traveling and taking photos was always a passion of ours. Through the years my love of photography led me to photograph family and friends and naturally grew into a business.  Now I am pursuing my passion and I love what I do!

My husband John is an integral part of the operation. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about our equipment and the business side of things, he is also a talented photographer. We work as a team on weddings, and he assists in the editing process.

John and I were High School sweethearts, and have been together since 2002. We were married in 2007, welcomed our first daughter in 2014, and our second daughter in 2019.
